How the Public Option Healthcare Becomes Universal Healthcare

This is the new drum for the Public Option.

Am I missing something here? Option A, Option B, Option C, and then the Public Option. Well, sounds like capitalism, right? I now have 4 options to chose from!

But who is paying for the Public Option so we can choose that? The Taxpayer. So that means that if you are paying for Option B, then you are actually paying for Option B AND the Public Option. Why are you paying for Option B if you are being forced to pay for the Public Option through taxes?

Any sane person will realize that financially speaking it is stupid to pay for Option X when you will always be paying for the Public Option. Right? So slowly, Option X will disappear and we will be left with only the Public Option.

Presto! We have our Universal Health Care. And the best part is with this plan… the government didn’t force Universal Health Care, you chose it by giving up your Option X health care… because the Public Option was better, right? Right. It is always better to get your opposition to slide over to your side by their own choice (even if it is a pseudo-choice) because they then cannot say that you forced them.

Seriously this is genius and if you listen to videos like this, then you will be duped.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Why A Strong Public Option Is Essential – By jacksmith — Working Class

Robert Reich explains the pubic option: http://bit.ly/dDYSJ http://robertreich.blogspot.com/

It’s not just because more than two thirds of the American people want a single payer health care system. And if they cant have a single payer system 77% of all Americans want a strong government-run public option on day one (86% of democrats, 75% of independents, and 72% republicans). Basically everyone.

It’s not just because according to a new AARP POLL: 86 percent of seniors want universal healthcare security for All, including 93% of Democrats, 87% of Independents, and 78% of Republicans. With 79% of seniors supporting creating a new strong Government-run public option plan, available immediately. Including 89% of Democrats, 80% of Independents, and 61% of Republicans, STUNNING!!

It’s not just because it will lower cost. Because a strong public option will dramatically lower cost for everyone. And dramatically improved the quality of care everyone receives in America and around the World. Rich, middle class, and poor a like.

It’s not just because it will save trillions of dollars and prevent the needless deaths of millions more of YOU, caused by a rush to profit by the DISGRACEFUL, GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX!

It’s not just because every expert in every field, including economist, and Nobel laureates all agree that free market based healthcare systems don’t work. Never have and never will. The US has the only truly free market based healthcare system in the World. And as you all know now, IT IS A DISASTER!

It’s not just because providing or denying medically necessary care for profit motivations is wrong. Because it is WRONG! It’s professionally, ethically, and morally REPUGNANT!, Animalistic, VILE and EVIL.

The public option is ESSENTIAL because over 200 million of you are trapped in the forest of the wolves. Which is the forest of the DISGRACEFUL, GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX! With no way out except through needless inhumane suffering, and DEATH. While the wolves tear at your flesh, and rip you limb from lib. Then feast on your lifeless bodies like a dead carcase for transplant parts.

At the most vulnerable times of your lives (when you were sick and hurting), millions of you have had to fight and loose cruel, but heroic battles. Fighting against the big guns of the DISGRACEFUL, GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX! in the forest of the wolves. All because you have no place else to go. You have no other CHOICE!

But the PUBLIC OPTION will give you someplace safe to go. And it will give us someplace safe to take you. The public option will be your refugium (your refuge). Where the wolves cannot get at you when your down, hurting, and vulnerable. Where everyone who needs it can find rest, security, comfort and the care they need. Protected by the BIG GUNS of We The People Of The United States. THE MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE AND COUNTRY ON EARTH.

This is why it is so critical that we do not lead another 50 million vulnerable, uninsured Americans into the forest of the wolves, without the protections of a Strong Government-run public option. We The People Of The United States MUST NOT LET THAT HAPPEN to any more of our fellow Americans. If healthcare reform does not contain a strong public option on day one. YOU MUST! KILL IT. Or you will do far more harm than good. And millions more will die needlessly. Rich, middle class, and poor a like.

To those who would continue to obstruct good and true healthcare reform for the American people, and who seek to trap millions more vulnerable Americans in the forest of the wolves. We will continue to fight you. We are prepared to wage all out war against you, and will eagerly DESTROY! you. Time…is…UP! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! No Co-op’s! No Triggers! NO INDIVIDUAL MANDATES! without a Strong public option on day one.

Healthcare reform can be the GREATEST! Accomplishment of our time and century. A time when future generations may say of us, that we were all, AMERICAS GREATEST GENERATIONS.

I therefore call on all my fellow Americans and the peoples of the World. To join us in this fight so that we may finish becoming the better America that we aspire to be for everyone.

I have been privileged to be witness as many of you fought, and struggled to take your first breath, and your last breath on this earth. Rich, middle class, and poor a like. Life is precious.

Whatever the cost. WE! MUST SUCCEED.

God Bless You My Fellow Human Beings

As everyone can see, jacksmith is not here to have a debate on the issue, he is here to cut and copy some premade message to any blog that has anything to do with healthcare. (this is the second time hes posted this same thing on two different threads).

Point – he has no substance. And truthfully, reminds me of the people being paid to attend and hold signs at Obama rallies!

Do you think it is possible that jacksmith only posts his unsupported drivel because that is all the DNC is forwarding to its minions?

  4. 14 September 2009 at 10:03

@DJ: Possibly. As with many Liberals they cannot articulate a point by themselves. They always have to point to so-and-so’s opinion to formulate their opinion. This is why it is always best to just ask questions to a Liberal because they simply [normally] cannot answer the questions without the master…

In fact, it kind of reminds me of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.

I think you can figure out who is who… :)

I downloaded President Obama’s Speech to the AMA on health care. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/15/health/policy/15obama.text.html

I will quote parts of it and comment on those parts. I left a lot out just to keep it short. This is the hardest part because Obama has diarrhea of the mouth.

“And if we fail to act, federal spending on Medicaid and Medicare will grow over the coming decades by an amount almost equal to the amount our government currently spends on our nation’s defense.”

How will adding millions more people to government provided health care stop the growth of Medicare and Medicaid spending? I suppose economy of scale. However, Medicare and Medicaid are already huge in scale and still going bankrupt.

“And I want to commend the AMA, in particular, for offering to do your part to curb costs and achieve reform. A few weeks ago, you joined together with hospitals, labor unions, insurers, medical device manufacturers and drug companies to do something that would’ve been unthinkable just a few years ago – you promised to work together to cut national health care spending by two trillion dollars over the next decade, relative to what it would otherwise have been. That will bring down costs, that will bring down premiums, and that’s exactly the kind of cooperation we need.”

The operative phrase is ” relative to what it would otherwise have been. ”

“If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

This is an out right lie.

Now he lays out his first two proposals to cut costs.

“First, we need to upgrade our medical records by switching from a paper to an electronic system of record keeping.”

“The second step that we can all agree on is to invest more in preventive care so that we can avoid illness and disease in the first place.”

“only a fraction of every health care dollar goes to prevention or public health. That is starting to change with an investment we are making in prevention and wellness programs that can help us avoid diseases that harm our health and the health of our economy.”

Now President Obama contradicts himself with the truth.

“But as important as they are, investments in electronic records and preventive care are just preliminary steps. They will only make a dent in the epidemic of rising costs in this country.”

On tort reform, President Obama has an opportunity to deal with a real cost issue , but he drops back 5 yards and punts.

“Some doctors may feel the need to order more tests and treatments to avoid being legally vulnerable. That’s a real issue. And while I’m not advocating caps on malpractice awards which I believe can be unfair to people who’ve been wrongfully harmed, I do think we need to explore a range of ideas about how to put patient safety first, let doctors focus on practicing medicine, and encourage broader use of evidence-based guidelines. That’s how we can scale back the excessive defensive medicine reinforcing our current system of more treatment rather than better care.”

I thought this next figure a little high, but I got so many different results when I researched it that I did not want to comment.

“Each time an uninsured American steps foot into an emergency room with no way to reimburse the hospital for care, the cost is handed over to every American family as a bill of about $1,000 ”

This next statement is so laughable that no comment is needed.

“when you hear the naysayers claim that I’m trying to bring about government-run health care, know this – they are not telling the truth.”

Actually these next two statements rival the last one in comic value.

“But it is a cost that will not – I repeat, not – add to our deficits. Health care reform must be and will be deficit neutral in the next decade.”

“There are already voices saying the numbers don’t add up. They are wrong. ”

Those voices that say the numbers do not add up come from the Democratic controlled Congressional Budget Office.

This last part should save money by putting a lot of hospitals out of business.

“Another way we can achieve savings is by reducing payments to hospitals for treating uninsured people.”

“Reducing these payments gradually as more and more people have coverage will save us over $106 billion, and we’ll make sure the difference goes to the hospitals that most need it.”

This was not as short as I had hoped and I apologize if my heavy handed editing changed the context of Obama’s words. That was not my intention.

A landmark breakthrough was announced today between Democratic and Republican negotiators in both the House and Senate on the contentious issue of health care reform.

    The Republicans are delighted.

The Democrats got pretty much all they were hoping for, including a public option for health care insurance, but the Republicans successfully inserted a provision whereby they can send “Compassionate Conservative” squads to every hospital, clinic, and Emergency Room, and have the power to tell those institutions which Americans (and non-Americans) are allowed to receive medical care. (Clue: sarcasm.)

  7. 17 September 2009 at 06:41

@Christianliberal: Can you please say that over again, minus the sarcasm?

I don’t care what anyone says, it is IMPOSSIBLE to be a Christian and be a liberal.

  9. 17 September 2009 at 16:30

@Michael: Thank you for visiting my blog. I tend to agree at large. However, I understand that there are many variances of religion, to include Christianity.

As for Christian Liberalism, I would like to hear an arguement for it. I just don’t see in the Bible where Jesus suggests or even hints at the idea that we should count on government (or anyone for that matter) to be charitable and loving. It was up to the individual to take up and go out and preach and help the less fortunate.

But that is my understanding of the Bible, Jesus, and Christianity… We will have to see if ChristianLiberal comes back to discuss their positions.

Isn’t that title an oxymoron? Or maybe it’s where you buy your way in to heaven using taxpayers money. Also known as the Senator Kennedy life philosophy. (Clue: sarcasm.)

Now now fellas. Let ChristianLiberal come back and describe how they can be both!

You are right. We seem to scare off these “progressives”. They drive by post and are never heard from again. Anyway I found a piece which explained Obama’s deceptions better than I can. Charles Krauthammer had a column today in the Washington Post entitled “Does He Lie?”. The column mysteriously seemed to disappear from their website a couple of hours later. I dug it up finally.

” Obama doesn’t lie. He implies, he misdirects, he misleads — so fluidly and incessantly that he risks transmuting eloquence into mere slickness.”

Or to use my term ” Obulls$itter “.

I found another well written piece. It explores whether Congressman (R-SC)Joe Wilson was right. It is written by Judge Andrew Napolitano. Where is Christianliberal to dispute these columns that I have posted?

I don’t think you all are thinking clearly. It is quite obvious that Christianity and Liberalism go hand in hand.

In order to be a Cristian, one must accept Christ into their lives.

It has been well said that the imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, if one imitates Christ, because they desire to be like him, it is evident that they have accepted Christ into their life, and are therefore, Christian.

Christ was obviously a liberal, after all he walked around in sandals and had long hair…

  15. 19 September 2009 at 23:16

@DJ: Yeah, the long hair and sandals most definitely indicate that Christ was a Liberal.

@ChristianLiberal: Where are you? Don’t tell me you ran off when you have people here that want to talk to you! :)

Here is the latest proof that Obama the Great is in trouble. We all know he will no longer go anywhere near Foxnews because he cannot answer tough questions. However, even his own bought and paid for media are now having the audacity to put the soft balls away and throw him a spit ball. Stephanopoulos is going to get the most heat since he double crossed Clinton.

George Stephanopoulos actually told Obama what the definition of TAX was. “I don’t think I’m making it up. Merriam-Webster’s dictionary: ‘Tax, a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes,'”

If you want to know what Nancy Pelosi was talking about when she tried to link today’s health care dissenters, protesters, and 912ers with the 1970s San Francisco murders, look up Dan White. Dan White, while conservative was a Democrat. Also, while one victim Harvey Milk was homosexual and the other victim Mayor George Moscone was a liberal, this was more about a disappointed office seeker being turned down than it was about ideology.

There seems to be coordination by left wing Democrat politicians and their bought and paid for press to paint opposition protesters as dangerous violent mobs bent on assassinating President Obama for being the first African American President. They are just hoping against hope for some act of violence to occur that can be blamed on conservatives.

The hypocrites did not voice these same concerns during the eight years of President Bush.

I think we should give out a Pinocchio award each week to our favorite Democrat. While Speaker Pelosi is always a strong contender, President Obama is on TV more.
