Social Insurance

“[Very] soon, every American will be required to register their biological property in a National system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate under the ancient system of pledging. By such methodology, we can compel people to submit to our agenda, which will affect our security as a chargeback for our fiat paper currency. Every American will be forced to register or suffer not being able to work and earn a living. They will be our chattel, and we will hold the security interest over them forever, by operation of the law merchant under the scheme of secured transactions. Americans, by unknowingly or unwittingly delivering the bills of lading to us will be rendered bankrupt and insolvent, forever to remain economic slaves through taxation, secured by their pledges. They will be stripped of their rights and given a commercial value designed to make us a profit and they will be non the wiser, for not one man in a million could ever figure our plans and, if by accident one or two would figure it out, we have in our arsenal plausible deniability. After all, this is the only logical way to fund government, by floating liens and debt to the registrants in the form of benefits and privileges. This will inevitably reap to us huge profits beyond our wildest expectations and leave every American a contributor or to this fraud which we will call “Social Insurance.” Without realizing it, every American will insure us for any loss we may incur and in this manner; every American will unknowingly be our servant, however begrudgingly. The people will become helpless and without any hope for their redemption and, we will employ the high office of the President of our dummy corporation to foment this plot against America.” – Edward Mandell House had this to say in a private meeting with Woodrow Wilson (President) [1913-1921]

Just FYI, this quote is constantly assailed for having no verifiable source. I have never been able to find one myself. Given the quote’s frequent usage, I would say that a source would have emerged if it were valid. Highly dubious.

Excellent reference. Thank you for bringing it to us. Everyone who reads this, make sure you know who Edward Mandell House is; for while he was certainly not the first politician to have had this goal in his mind, House was closely associated with President Wilson. With the philosophy quoted, is it any wonder that J.P. Morgan knew Wilson was the man who could be duped into allowing the private, for profit, Federal Reserve to come into existence ?

Here is a hauntingly similar statement, not of a plan on how to make the people slaves, just as observation of the fact:

“By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.”

@The Center Square: I have searched for the source of the quote as well. If anyone has it, please link it.

With that said, maybe it is true in light of what Wilson said in his 1916 book The New Freedom about passing the Federal Reserve Act of 1913,

I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.

But then again, even the Wilson quote is kind of un-cited. :/

As a follow up, I am intrigued by the growing interest in Woodrow Wilson. Is this a Glenn Beck thing? Is Beck’s idea that Wilson secretly held various anti-republic views, and therefore by implication modern day politicans who consider themselves liberal or progressive surely hold those same anti-republic views? I don’t get to listen to Beck all that often, so I’m rather curious. Thanks.

If GB mentioned anything about Wilson, then that was separate from my comment. I have heard that quote from a long time ago.

I have seen the above quote(“[Very] soon, every American will be required to register their biological property in a National system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate under the ancient system of pledging. By such methodology)etc.

attributed to British Military Historian, Major General J.F.C. Fuller

@Riffenberg: Hello and welcome to my blog. Thank you for the information. I wish I knew the sourch for sure. But, nevertheless, still an interesting quote.

It’s one of those quotes of the sort of Henry Ford’s: “The only statement I care to make about the Protocols [of the Learned Elders of Zion] is that they fit in with what is going on. They are sixteen years old and they have fitted the world situation up to this time. They fit it now.”
However, this quote is documented as in the New York World, February 17, 1921.
As to Ford’s supposed “antisemitism,” he was friends with Andre Citroen, the great French Jewish gearmaker and later mass-producer of automobiles and trucks. Much of what he learned about the machinations of the Jewish financiers was revealed by Jews. Being opposed to criminals who are Jews is not different from being opposed to any other criminals of a particular ethnic group. Such persons typically have not only their criminal combination as a binder but their common language and ethnicity.

"Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country" - Hermann Goering
